The Story of Innovation

From Garage Startup to Precision Manufacturing Leader Since 1975

Staub Machine Company was founded in 1975 in the garage of Tony Staub’s home. Tony poured a concrete floor, ran power, and opened for business with a Bridgeport mill, a manual lathe, and a drill press. As the business grew and technology evolved, the company quickly transformed into a leader in the precision machining industry. The foundation of the business was built by pushing the boundaries of technology in order to solve customers’ problems. Staub was an early adopter of 4-axis milling, live tool lathes, and robotics, while engineering custom manufacturing processes for specific projects.

Expanding Capabilities, Certified Quality, and Advanced Automation Across Industries

As time went on Staub’s customer base expanded into a wide range of markets, including communications, medical, military, fluid power, aerospace, and more. More recently Staub formalized its quality system and gained ISO certification, and implemented a top-end ERP/MRP system. New capabilities have been added, such as water jet cutting, laser cutting, stamping, laser marking, EDM, and grinding that complement our machining abilities. A recent initiative has been launched to automate both inspection and assembly, in order to improve consistency and to deploy our labor where it is most beneficial.

Continuous Investment in Custom Automation, Technology, and Precision Excellence

Today, Staub Precision Machine customers can see the results of continual investment in state-of-the-art equipment and developments in customized automation by in-house engineers. Our focus on developing automated solutions for specific purposes, with individual customers in mind, has been folded efficiently into our daily processes to ensure quality and consistency.

Due to our investments in equipment, technology, and talented people, we’re able to continue implementing cutting edge, automated, and often one-of-a-kind manufacturing processes. Some things never change.
